Planning is starting to feel easy
Wow, Things really seem to be coming togther even though none of our planning is official.
I asked my friend Amanda to help us with the planning of the wedding and she is already trying to secure so many things for us.
She already found us a photographer... our friend (amandas best friend) Lori, her parents own Burlington Camera and she has had nothing but photography in her life. (Becca going off topic)It's funny cause I think I remeber her now from when I was a kid. My own father did photograpy, and for a short while wedding photography. My dad use to bring me to Burlington camera to pick things up, and of course look at new gadgets. I think Lori must have been that kid younger than me that was always there. I used to play with her while her parents help my dad out.
Back to wedding stuff ... Amanda has offered to put her caligraphy skills to work making us our invitations. This Blows me away! I'm still going to look at the cost of printed invitations because it still may save time and money. But personalized is always interesting and can create a beautiful invitation.
THEN somthing else we wern't even thinking about yet... a HONEY MOON. Her father has a timeshare in Cancun. She's gonna see if she can secure us some time there for our honey moon... Isn't she Awsome?!?
I've been asking around for good wedding sites. I have alot of help from people in the SCA who have put together alot of large scale events. It sounds as if I could find a City park for between $50 and $100 but there is a good chance they won't have all the facilities we would be looking for
But we could find a more than decent place for between $200 and $500 I'm starting to get really excited
And also, for a lower cost wedding dress I kept being told to check out second hand stores. I kind of kept turning my nose at these because in the past I used to notice how they were infamous for the cheesy 80's dress with the poufy shoulders and too many sequence. However I walked into a goodwill in Waterdown with my friend (and Bridesmaid Keri) and they had entire rows of these beautiful dresses... SOME I had already seen in bridal stores still in fashion for $3000 they were beautiful and were more than I've been hoping for at no more than $150 I will have to keep my eye on this Goodwill.
I am SO GLAD that I have given myself time to plan this wedding. I stressed it a bit at the beginning. I was so worried about hurting peoples feelings and getting this all off the ground. But now I've got an amazing group behind me and supporting me, I think I will be able to enjoy every but of it. I've got time and if I keep ontop of it I know I will be able to hunt out the bargins and be secure with what I spend my money on.
This is gonna be an amazing day!
Thankyou to everyone helping me!
